Blind Time

Blind Time is an interpretation of space and time from the perspective of one who can not see, or who may be blinded. I started it in March 2020, at the beginning of COVID-19, when notions of time and reality succeeded my mind.

Virgo Robot Characters
Virgo Robot Characters exhibits two character design concepts for Virgo Robot. The first, and ultimately chosen representation, portrays the robot in its femininity, while also rendering its prevailing presence through the depiction of daunting, sharp teeth. The second portrayal, seen in the bottom half of the drawing, presents the Virgo robot in a friendlier, almost childlike manner. The Virgo robot characters can be found in the far away Zodiac Galaxy, where they tend to the Earth. They have numerous functions, including eating invasive species, drilling holes for planting trees, harvesting, watering plants, and planting and growing seeds. The sunflower arm attachment can produce any type of seed needed for the environment, and also emits sunlight to help sprout the seedlings! The Virgo robot's favorite leisure activity is meditation.

Morning Glory
Morning Glory represents a few different ideas through its symbolic imagery. Morning Glory flowers illustrate life, death, and rebirth, blooming each morning only to die every evening. They are very resilient, enduring harsh conditions, yet also fleeting, only showing their beauty for a short time. One may compare the Morning Glory flower to love, and gift it as a symbol of an unbreakable bond between two people. In the Victorian Era, this flower was given as a gesture of love, however it was more so considered for love in vain. I designed this piece with the concepts of perpetuity and rebirth in mind.
